The Guatapé town is known as "El Pueblo de los Zócalos" as most of its houses have 3D pictures of historic or everyday events. The house facades are very colorful. You may find very pleasant the dozens of restaurants with typical food or even just sightseeing the streets and their stores.
Along the lake shore there are lots of typical food and handcrafts. The local goverment will build a huge new pier and an artificial beach. You may rent a boat, fly in cable above the lake or go for a fancy dinner sailing on the lake. The daily average temperature is around 20°C (68°F).
